COUPLES FOR CHRIST

A Catholic movement intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian family life. CFC couples have committed themselves to the Lord and to one another so that they may grow in maturity as men and women of God and fulfill their primary vocation of raising families grounded in Christian values, in the service and love of God

MISSION

Building the Church of the Home, Building the Church of the Poor. We are Couples for Christ, we are committed to live in God’s righteousness and holiness, evangelizing people through a life of love and service. We shall work for the renewal of families that will serve God and build generations of Christian leaders; and we shall pursue Total Christian Liberation through social justice, respect for life, and work with the poor.

VISION
Families in the Holy Spirit renewing the face of the earth. Moved by the Holy Spirit, one with the Catholic Church, blessed to witness Christ’s love and service, Couples for Christ is a united global community of family evangelizers that sets the world on fire with the fullness of God’s transforming love. Couples for Christ is not only for the spouses but it caters to all members of the family at any given stage of life.

THE FAMILY MINISTRIES

CFC KIDS FOR CHRIST CFC Kids for Christ was created for the evangelization of the kids ages 4 to 12 through the family. It is guided by its vision of sharing Christ’s joy to families.  

CFC YOUTH FOR CHRIST CFC Youth for Christ is a young community of believers filled with the vibrancy and conviction of the Spirit, eager to answer the call to do one thing —spread the love of Christ to the youth ages 12 to 20.  

CFC SINGLES FOR CHRIST CFC Singles for Christ (SFC), It was founded to cater to the needs of single men and women from 21 to 40 years of age. "Single" refers to anyone within that age group who is free from any legal impediments for marriage. The pastoral care offered by the ministry, though, is not limited to those who are called for marriage, but includes as well those who may be considering either single blessedness or religious vocation as a state of life.  

CFC HANDMAIDS OF THE LORD CFC Handmaids of the Lord (HOLD), a Christian renewal and support ministry for mature women who are single mothers (except minors), widows, separated/divorced/with annulled marriages, unmarried (single mature), married but husbands are not willing or able to participate in the life and mission of CFC, migrants, wives of overseas workers, deprived of liberty (in detention facilities). The ministry assists these women to grow in their Christian life with the Blessed Virgin Mary as their model.  

CFC SERVANTS OF THE LORD The CFC Servants of the Lord (SOLD) is an international Catholic organization for men, who want to follow Christ and abide by His teachings as they face the many challenges of everyday life. It is a brotherhood where men support one another in faith and in fellowship finding strength to fight temptation. SOLD provides an environment wherein they will be empowered to manage their lives accordingly and lead other men and their families to Christ.

PROGRAMS

The two-fold mission of CFC are Building the Church of the Home and Church of the Poor. Work for building the Church of the Poor is integral in our mission.  The global mission states that “We shall pursue Total Christian Liberation through social justice, respect for life and work with the poor. We are called to love the pool as exemplified by Christ and we are called to be a caring community with one heart and one mind.” Building the Church of the poor emanates from the Social Teachings of the Church and will be strengthened by the new formation teachings that will guide our posture towards our work for Total Christian Liberation. The programs are tools and ways for members of CFC to grow in loving the poor as Christ did.  

ANCOP:  Answers the Cry of the Poor and focus on the social and spiritual transformation of families.  

CFC MIGRANTS:  Gives courage and support to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to meet the challenges of being away from home, country, and families.  

CFC OIKOS:  CFCs program to care for our common home where we all live as one family so that we and future generations would reap the benefits not just for the few but for all humanity.

FAMILY IS A GIFT:  A program that upholds the dignity and beauty of the family.

HOW TO JOIN COUPLES FOR CHRIST?
The Christian Life Program (CLP) is the entry point into joining our community through an integrated course intended to lead the participants into a renewed understanding of God’s call to them as Christian couples and individuals.  

The CLP is a formation program that strengthens individual faith and strong core Christian family values. It has 8 TALKS which has two modules 1. Basic truths about Christianity 2. The authentic and spirit-filled Christian life. It is usually held once a week or a series of talks held in one weekend wherein each session consists of three basic ingredients: A Teaching, a Group Discussion, and a time for Fellowship.  

After the CLP, you will be put into a household.  Will have a series of teachings, formation activities, retreats and events as you continue to be a part of the community. An offspring of one's personal renewal and the deepening of relationships between spouses is the call to bring Christ to the other members of the family. The CFC Family Ministries is Couples for Christ's response to building the Church of the Home. The family ministries look to the spiritual dimension of our life in the Lord. It focuses on internal formation and is designed to help us grow in holiness of life.
